Defenders of European gold Kazakhstan ended in the Last 16

Brno - after the eight-final matches of the European Championship a new ruler will take on the throne for champions of the old continent. The champion from last year Kazakhstan lost 1: 2 after a penalty kick with Russia. Russia will play against Slovenia in quarter-finals who won 3: 2 with Greece.


Six-time European champions Romania seamlessly defeated Serbia, which finished 4:1. In the quarterfinals, they will play against France, which 2:1 overcame Slovakia.

Hungary and Poland will also meet in the quarter-final. Winner group A Hungary beat Turkey 1:0, Poland moved 2:1 over Montenegro, which took fourth place a year ago in Hungary after losing with the Czech Republic.

The home selection delighted the Brno Arena "Za Lužánkami" by win 1:0 with Bulgaria. The goal scored Patrik Levčík. Czechs will face Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Thursday quarterfinals, which defeated Croatia 1-0. Two minutes before the end, Marin Jukic scored the winning goal.
